New Septic System Installation

New Septic System Installation in Spartanburg

A new septic system is more than a tank in the ground. Burningbrides designs and installs the complete onsite wastewater system, the tank, the distribution box, and the drainfield, sized from your bedroom count and the perc rate the Spartanburg County health department approves. A three bedroom home near Country Club Road typically takes a 1,000 gallon tank, and a four bedroom house steps up to 1,500.

Why the Design Matters

The system has to match the soil, not the other way around. Where the ground percs well and the seasonal water table sits low, a conventional gravity system disperses effluent through perforated PVC pipe in washed drainfield gravel. Heavy clay or shallow bedrock calls for an aerobic treatment unit certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 40 or an engineered mound. Getting that decision right up front is what keeps a field from failing five years later.

Our Process

We start with a soil percolation test and site evaluation, then pull the county permit. Once it clears, we dig the tank hole and the trench field, set a watertight concrete or polyethylene tank on a level bearing surface, plumb the distribution box, lay the drainfield, cover the runs with geotextile fabric, and backfill to grade. The system is inspected before backfill and the as-built goes on record.
